Birria de res, barbacoa de olla, and handmade tortillas — the way Señora Esperanza has made them since 1997. On Alameda Ave in El Paso.
La Flama isn't famous because of advertising — we've never spent a dollar on it. Every customer found us through word of mouth, a TikTok video, or following the line down the block.
Señora Esperanza Ruiz opened La Flama in 1997 after moving from Juárez. She learned birria from her mother, who learned it from her grandmother. Three generations of the same recipe — never modified, never franchised.
